Find and keep rare eggs
Choose a source you can reach, identify the egg by its current label and make the return run reliable before optimizing for rarity. Official badges establish Eternal, Secret and Divine rarity names, but badge award rates are not hatch probabilities. A server timer tracks resets; it does not predict a rare result.
Choose the acquisition route
Separate a normal nest run from a reported Rift exchange or event shop. Each route has different inputs, and an old screenshot does not prove it is still available. Check the relevant hub first, then read the actual nest, machine or shop in your current server before spending time or pets.
Use names rather than color
Promotional artwork is useful for recognizing the T-Rex, Yeti and Phoenix Egg names. Color alone does not establish rarity, income or a complete hatch pool. Capture the visible name and any rarity label before recording an entry, especially if a mutation changes its appearance.
Synchronize your own reset
When you observe a reset, start the rare-egg timer and enter the interval you measured. If the next reset disagrees, resync it. It makes no server-wide claim and cannot identify the next egg. Stay near a route you can safely use instead of chasing a promised spawn from an unsourced prediction.
Protect the result
Rehearse the route with a manageable egg before taking a high-value target. After returning, record the egg name and the hatch result separately. If your objective is a collection slot, mark that slot in the tracker; if it is income, compare the actual pet rate under matching conditions.
