Rift eggs and sacrifice
Community walkthroughs describe exchanging three requested pets at the Rift machine for the displayed current egg. Riftborn, Riftbeasts and Shattered Rift have separate reported pet pools. Inspect the request list and Current Egg immediately before confirming; viewing a different pool is not evidence that you selected that reward.
Compare the three pools
The linked records preserve the reported pet associations while omitting disputed odds. Decide whether you are collecting a missing name or pursuing an income improvement before spending useful pets.
Riftborn is one of three reported Rift banners. Its documented pool is distinct from Riftbeasts and Shattered Rift.

Prepare exactly what is requested
- Read each pet’s exact name and any displayed condition.
- Check inventory for suitable duplicates before farming.
- Hatch a required pet if the machine requests pets rather than eggs.
- Recheck the current banner and consumption text before confirming.
If the exchange will not complete
Check for a missing input, an unhatched egg, a similar-looking but differently named pet or an interface that changed while you were away. Do not repeatedly click through a transaction whose cost or result is unclear. Preserve a screenshot of the full request panel when reporting a problem.
Interpret pity carefully
A counter labeled pity is not enough to establish which rarity it guarantees or when it resets. The reviewed guides do not agree on all these details. Track your own observations if useful, but do not treat a run of failures as proof the next hatch must be a particular pet.
