STEAL AN EGG WIKI / GUIDE

Escape with an egg

Plan your return before picking up an egg. Test how carrying changes movement, keep an unobstructed line home and abandon a route when its conditions change. Published Speed references describe typical targets; they cannot guarantee a successful run with every egg and guardian.

Rehearse the empty route

Walk the return route before taking the objective. Notice turns, narrow gaps and where another player can approach. The shortest path on a map is not always the shortest usable path in a busy server. Pick a second exit so a single obstruction does not force a last-second decision.

Test a manageable carry

Start with an egg you can afford to lose. Compare carried movement with your empty run using the same route. Community guides report weight-related difficulty, but no universal carry formula is applied here. If you lose ground immediately, training or a different egg is a more useful experiment than repeating the identical failure.

Read the pursuit

Keep the camera positioned so you can see your route and the threat. Avoid adding sharp turns simply because a pursuer is close; unnecessary distance can consume your margin. If the route becomes blocked, choose the prepared exit or stop the attempt. Record which obstacle changed the result.

Review the failure

Distinguish insufficient carried movement from a bad route, late reaction or another player’s interference. Fix one cause at a time. When a patch changes the feel of a run, rebuild the comparison with current conditions. An old guide number should not override a repeatable failure in your present server.
