STEAL AN EGG WIKI / GUIDE

Base upgrades

Base upgrading is part of the official progression loop. Choose an improvement by the repeated problem it solves in your own session, then read the current cost and benefit before buying. This guide does not assume an undocumented capacity, protection timer or offline-income feature.

Name the problem first

Decide whether you are losing time managing the collection, struggling to respond to stealing or simply earning too slowly. Those problems may have different solutions. Buying a base improvement cannot be assumed to raise pet income unless the current description says so.

Compare a normal session

Record what interrupts you before making a purchase. After upgrading, play a comparable session and look for a change in that interruption. A new visual tier is not enough to establish value. If the original problem remains, reassess instead of repeatedly purchasing the same category.

Preserve the next option

Keep enough resources for a known near-term objective when a proposed upgrade has an uncertain benefit. Conversely, do not hoard indefinitely when a measured improvement helps every session. Your reserve should have a purpose tied to the next decision, not a made-up universal percentage.
