Boss Tokens
Boss Tokens are documented by community sources as the currency associated with the Rift boss and its shop. They are different from the pets submitted to the Rift machine. Inspect your balance before and after a completed encounter to measure your own payout; no universal token amount is assumed here.
Record a payout correctly
Write down the balance immediately before the fight and again after the reward registers. Avoid spending in between. Record any boost or milestone that was active so a larger result is not attributed to the boss alone. One observation describes that session, not every server or player.
Plan purchases from your current shop
List the item you need, its current token cost and why it helps the next session. Compare permanent-looking descriptions with time-limited ones carefully; only the current card can establish duration and eligibility. Keep enough balance for a known goal instead of buying a booster that will expire before you use it.
Tokens and Mastery are different
The shop balance and a milestone counter serve different purposes. A purchase can change tokens without proving anything about Mastery progress. Read each panel independently and verify claims after the encounter. Do not substitute a token total for a count of credited kills.
When the balance looks wrong
Check whether the encounter ended, whether a reward message appeared and whether you spent tokens in another panel. Preserve the before-and-after context for a correction. A missing source does not justify resetting a number to zero or inventing a promised payout.
